THE CATALYST FUND
Building Opportunities for the Future
What is it?
The Catalyst Fund is a community funding pool created by Beyond The Narrative to provide small-scale grants, bursaries, and resources. It is designed to give people the push they need to access training, start an idea, or remove barriers holding them back.
Who is it for?
The fund is for young people and grassroots changemakers who have ideas, passions, or goals but face barriers to achieving them. It also benefits founders and emerging leaders, giving them the support, recognition, and sustainability needed to keep building impactful work.
How will it be used?
Every contribution goes directly into building a sustainable pool that can be used to:
-
Fund small bursaries for training, courses, or certifications.
-
Provide seed money for community-led ideas and projects.
-
Support founders and leaders in sustaining their initiatives.
-
Remove practical barriers that prevent people from accessing opportunities.
-
Offer emergency support for the Founding Five to ensure BTN’s core team can continue leading, even through unexpected challenges.
Where are we now?
We are in the early stages of building the Catalyst Fund. Right now, we’re focused on accumulating resources and laying the foundations to make the fund sustainable and future-proof, so that it can continue to offer opportunities for years to come.
Why does it matter?
Because access to opportunity isn’t equal. Too many people are held back by circumstances beyond their control. The Catalyst Fund exists to change that — providing practical, targeted support that unlocks the next step for individuals and communities.
